Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy 30 Day Smoothing Treatment
By now it’s easy to find salons that do Brazilian straightening treatments. However, they are expensive and can cost upwards of $150. If you’re comfortable with DIY beauty treatments, then you may want to try the Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy 30 Day Smoothing Treatment. It works by infusing keratin in your strands which removes your curl. This treatment also contains cocoa nut, avocado oils, and cocoa butter for healthier hair. It said to reduce blow-drying time by up to 75% and eliminate up to 95% of frizz and curl. Using this 30 Day Smoothing Treatment is no quick fix and is not for the impatient. First, you wash your hair with a clarifying shampoo. Then after towel drying, you put the Keratin Therapy 30 Day Smoothing Treatment in your hair. You are then to blow dry your hair, then flat iron each section of hair 7-10 times to seal the keratin in the hair. The treatment is supposed to protect your hair from the heat, but since it was our first time using it we only did two passes with the flat iron (7-10 times sounds like a lot!). After 48 hours, you then wash your hair and style as normal, but you are encouraged to use sulfate and sodium chloride free shampoos and conditioners for the next 30 days. The result was noticeably more manageable and smoother hair. However, we didn’t notice a significant reduction in blow-dry time or curl. But it was certainly a help with frizz. Since our color-treated hair emerged from this chemical treatment without being damaged, we plan on trying this product again in 30 days with more flat-iron time.
