CoverGirl All-in-One Curved Brush Mascara
July 9th, 2010
Not everyone is a frustrated makeup artist. If you want to just look like you have naturally beautiful lashes but don’t have the patience or expertise, we suggest CoverGirl’s All-in-One Curved Brush Mascara. The curved brush makes all the difference, it’s goof proof and leaves no clumps behind. We wouldn’t suggest this product for those who like dramatic lashes. Have blue eyes? Try their black/brown shade, it will bring out the color of your eyes and make the whites of your eyes look whiter!

Revlon Pedi-Expert Shower Pedicure Kit
July 8th, 2010
We have to admit, we were expecting to be unimpressed with Revlon’s Pedi-Expert Shower Pedicure Kit. Many exfoliating stones (both natural and synthetic) may work to eliminate dead skin, but leave your feet feeling rough. We were pleasantly surprised after using Revlon’s Pedi-Expert Shower Pedicure Kit. After one use, our feet were amazingly smooth. In the kit, you get a soft brush to exfoliate and clean your feet, a contoured stone to remove dead skin, and a cuticle pusher. The unit easily fits in your hand, and you can stack the brush on top of it (saving you valuable shower real estate). Hands down this is our favorite pedicure product we’ve tried to date.

Caress Evenly Gorgeous Exfoliating Body Wash
July 7th, 2010
When you have very dry skin sometimes a great moisturizer is not enough. To protect your skin from the beginning, try Caress Evenly Gorgeous Exfoliating Body Wash. After one try our skin felt smoother and more hydrated. This may be a bit too rich for some, but you’ll love it if you have dry skin. The pleasant scent of burnt brown sugar and karate butter is surprisingly long lasting.
Tip: If you want to gently exfoliate dry skin without spending money, try combining 1 cup of full-fat plain yogurt with half a grated cucumber and 2 tablespoons of sea salt. Rub on dry skin before getting in the shower and then use your regular body wash!

Procter and Gamble
June 28th, 2010
When you think of P
rocter and Gamble you may think of brands like Dolce and Gabbana and CoverGirl. But P&G’s beginnings were far less glamorous. P&G was founded in 1837 in Cincinnati by British immigrant William Procter and started with candles. He combined his company with Irish immigrant James Gamble, who was a major manufacturer of soaps and household products. Candles and soap might seem like an odd combination, but their principle ingredient was the same – animal fat. Animal fat was always in abundance in Cincinna
ti as it was home to many hog butchering companies. P&G actually supplied soap and candles to the American army during the Civil War. Ivory soap was introduced in 1879 and Crisco in 1911. As the years went by more products were added to the product mix evolving to the P&G of today, which has 22 billion dollar brands and 20 half billion dollar brands including Olay, Max Factor, Gillette, Herbal Essences, and Pantene!

Nivea Good-bye Cellulite Serum
June 25th, 2010
It’s hard to believe that dimpled, orange peel skin can be improved by a mere cream. So why are there so many products out there? Dehydrated skin is generally thinner, making fat pockets even more noticeable. In a quest for bikini ready skin, we tried Nivea’s Good-Bye Cellulite Serum. This product claims to improve the appearance of cellulite in ten days. On the first try, we loved the scent and the texture. It was fast absorbing and light, and smoothed our skin instantly. After 10 days, lo and behold there was a difference! Not only did there seem to be less cellulite, but there was a general improvement in the texture of our skin. The active ingredients, Lotus Extract and L-Carnitine did the job. The downside is that when you stop using it, the cellulite gradually comes back – is no permanent fix. If you want a more permanent effect, body brushing, regular exercise, and staying hydrating can help fight cellulite.
