Sally Hansen Moisturizing Foot Crème

Tuesday, September 25th, 2012

Did you know that your feet have very few oil glands compared to the rest of your body?  It’s no wonder then that the lotion that you use for the rest of your body may not be enough to keep your feet hydrated. We tried Sally Hansen’s Moisturizing Foot Crème and loved the formula. A welcome surprise considering Sally Hansen is not necessarily known for their skincare. It’s thick and can moisturize even the driest feet. But it doesn’t make your feet so greasy that they slip around in your shoes. Our favorite thing about this Crème is that it contains anti-fungal tea tree oil – a must for a healthy pedicure.

Revlon ColorStay Whipped Crème Makeup

Monday, September 17th, 2012

When Halle Berry is modeling a product , it’s hard to resist trying it. We tried Revlon’s brand new foundation, ColorStay Whipped Crème Makeup. This is unique to the regular ColorStay because it balances your skin all day so your face won’t look too oily or dry. We loved the formula and found that it kept to its promise of lasting all day (we found we didn’t need to use powder with this). What was unexpected is that the coverage is not very thick. We assumed because of the mousse texture that it would go on full, but you would need to put on a few layers to get to full coverage. If you’re looking for a medium coverage with a light feel, you’ll love this foundation. However, if you’re really looking to conceal, then we recommend you try their PhotoReady Foundation.

Dr. LeWinn by Kinerase Under Eye Recovery

Monday, September 10th, 2012

Many eye creams are targeted to one issue or the other, but Dr. LeWinn by Kinerase Under Eye Recovery addresses puffines, wrinkles, and dark circles. There are many scientific sounding ingredients, but the important thing is that we found that it to be a really great eye cream. It’s non-greasy so you can wear it during the day under your makeup, and after a week of use you’ll notice the improvement in the skin around your eyes. It doesn’t completely get rid of dark circles but it does help. What we love the most is that this eye cream isn’t irritating to the eyes at all – the greatest eye treatment in the world is not worth it if it stings your eyes. Unilever Simple Moisturizing Facial Wash

Tuesday, August 28th, 2012

Since we liked Simple’s Hydrating Light Moisturizer we thought we’d also try their Facial Wash. As promised, this facial wash is non-irritating and we couldn’t really detect any fragrance. Our sensitive skin seemed calmer and clearer in about 1 week. It has a pretty good lather so it cleans your skin but doesn’t strip your skin of moisture. On the other hand, if your skin is extremely dry, you might want to try a creamier cleanser. What’s great about this product is that it has few active ingredients, which lessens your chances of an allergic reaction. However, we didn’t see anywhere on the packaging that it’s paraben and phthalate free.

L’Oreal Paris Infallible 24 HR Eye Shadow

Tuesday, August 21st, 2012

After seeing the ads for L’Oreal Paris Infallible Eyeshadow, we definitely wanted to try it. We experimented with their Midnight Blue shade. We found that true to its promise, this shadow lasts all day and doesn’t crease or fade. But when you first put on the eyeshadow, it doesn’t look like the ads with one application. In order to get that intense look, you need about three layers. On the upside, this shadow adheres very well to the skin. But on the downside, it stays put so much it’s a little harder to blend. We found that this eyeshadow works really well with silver shadow on the lid to give the look some dimension.
