Revlon Spotlight Tweezer

Tuesday, May 31st, 2011

It seemed unlikely at first, but the small LED light on the new Revlon Spotlight Tweezer made a huge difference in our tweezing experience. Be prepared to take longer with your brows, you’ll see a lot more than usual. The result is more perfect brows. The LR41 battery is included, and it’s also replaceable. This is one of those products we wish came out a long time ago!

Revlon ColorStay Aqua Mineral Makeup

Thursday, April 7th, 2011

If you’re into technology in cosmetics, you’ll like Revlon’s ColorStay Aqua Mineral Makeup. The powder actually has the feel of water when applied to the skin! For the upcoming hot months, the cooling sensation is welcome. This product is made with coconut water and no oil, so you can be shine-free. As an added plus, ColorStay Aqua Mineral Makeup has an SPF13 and is fragrance-free. We loved that the product lasts all day, but the downside is that there are only 8 shades available

Revlon ColorBurst Lipgloss

Monday, February 28th, 2011

We loved Revlon’s Just Bitten Lipstain and Balm so we decided to also give their ColorBurst Lipgloss a try. This gloss promises “weightless color and mirror-like shine”. It also contains moisturizers (anti-oxidants and Vitamin E) for healthy lips. While we didn’t find this lipgloss much shinier than most glosses, we were truly amazed by the weightless feel. It feels just as light as Chapstick. High shine without feeling like you have gobs of gloss on is always a welcome experience! ColorBurst Lipgloss is available in 15 shades. We tried Peony, which is a very natural looking pink color.

Revlon Just Bitten Lipstain and Balm

Monday, February 7th, 2011

If you hate the feeling of wearing lipstick but still want color you would probably like Revlon’s Just Bitten Lipstain and Balm. The feel is as if you’re just wearing chapstick, and the color lasts all day long. The stain looks great and lets you have color without looking too ‘done’. You apply the stain first and give it some time for the color to set. Then you apply the balm, which contains Vitamin C. Our favorite part about this is that it’s goof-proof – no leaving lipstick on cups or worrying about it smearing after eating. There are ten different shades so you can choose how natural you want to make your look. Our personal favorite was Beloved, which is a very flattering shade of berry.

Revlon Top Speed Nail Enamel

Friday, February 4th, 2011

Painting your nails takes no time at all but waiting for them to dry can really be a drag. We tried Revlon’s Top Speed Nail Enamel, which promises to dry in 60 seconds, and thought it was a great formula. With a base coat and two coats with polish (doesn’t everyone use two coats?) it took longer than one minute to properly dry. But the polish definitely set in record time. The colors in this line of nail polish are very rich. Our favorite was Jelly, which is a vibrant pink shade.
