La Roche-Posay Mela-D Serum
Monday, January 16th, 2012
The primary purpose of La Roche-Posay’s Mela-D Serum Anti-Dark Spot Concentrate is to correct skin discoloration and even skin complexion. However, what we loved to most is how it improves the texture of your skin. Sometimes you don’t realize how clogged your pores are until you use a product like this. The product contains kojic acid and glycolic acid. This is one of the milder products we’ve tried with glycolic acid so it’s a good product for those with sensitive skin. The directions called for applying once a day during morning or evening, but if in the morning apply a sunscreen with a SPF of at least 15. In our experience, you get the most benefit out of using this product at night under your favorite moisturizer. It seems to make your moisturizer more effective. At almost $60 this drugstore product isn’t cheap, but in our opinion the product quality is as good as high end skincare lines such as Natura Bisse. We like to use this 3 times a week to maintain the great effects this serum has on our skin.

Secrets for Stunning Celebrity Skin
Wednesday, October 19th, 2011
We know very well that celebrities have their own group of makeup professionals that assures these people look their best whenever they face the cameras or mingle with people. Nevertheless, you can still have that wonderful skin even if you do not have such pros working for your skin. Makeup India artists and skin care experts share some secrets into having that perfect skin, without spending too much money.
Set Your Skin Color
It is important to set your skin color so that the make-up you wear would perfectly suit your mood, your shades of choice, and even your body features. It also indicates your health and that you get an adequate supply of Vitamin D in your skin. When you do not have the time of getting the tan you want, a spray tan would give you the quickest and easiest fix.
However, if you find it difficult to hold your breath while spraying then trying out self-tanners or bronze powders should be an option. It is also recommended to do the tanning moderately or put some sun block lotion on, so that you can avoid having sunburns or tan lines
Get Thinner
While you adore celebrities for being fit and firm, it is not the case at all times. They also experience those moments when they get a little fatter. Just in case this happens, they take in a dietary supplement that could speed up their digestion, improve their metabolism, and burn their extra inches faster.
Drink Your Liquids
Keeping an ample supply of water in the body is one of the best and simplest secrets for moisturized skin, and this can only be achieved when you follow the required amount of water intake. Adding a skin moisturizer would greatly enhance your face, and every inch of your skin.
Revive Your Face
As you meet with people and go places every day, the first thing that they will notice is your face. You need to take an adequate time for rest, a moderate dose of anti-oxidants, and patting your face on the right places to promote better blood circulation. The said patting is done with the following steps:
- Begin the petting from the top of the cheekbone then down to the nose, have the patting back to the cheekbone, running upwards to the temple and then to the eyebrows
- Apply a little amount of lotion, and have the patting done from the neck to the jaw line
- Pat the corners of your mouth and then to the cheeks.

Dr. LeWinn by Kinerase Instant Dermal Wrinkle Filler
Friday, July 15th, 2011
If you are impatient with skincare results you’ll like Dr. LeWinn by Kinerase Instant Dermal Wrinkle Filler. It has kinetin which promotes long-term wrinkle reduction over time, but it also smoothes wrinkles in ten minutes with osilift. Osilift is made of oat kernel sugars and creates an invisible film on the skin. This formula is also rich in anti-oxidants, a must for any anti-age product. Of course, this product doesn’t give the same results as injectables, but we thought it worked great for wrinkles.

L’Oreal Skin Genesis Pore Minimizing Skin Re-Smoother
Monday, January 4th, 2010
For years there has not been a comparable product to Estee Lauder’s best-seller, Idealist Pore Minimizing Skin Refinisher, which retails for around $46.50. So we applaud L’Oreal for coming out with a product that’s just as effective, but is available in local drugstores.
Selling at around $19.99, the Skin Genesis Pore Minimizing Skin Re-Smoother is one of the few skin care products that we’ve seen that gives instant results. Unlike many of the all natural organic products that are being launched today, L’Oreal has a more scientific approach for the Skin Genesis line. However, all the formulas are dermatologist tested to be safe and gentle.
To start with, even the packaging is advanced. Pore Minimizing Skin Re-Smoother has a unique airless pump, which protects the formula. It also doesn’t hurt that the tube is really neat looking! This product claims to tighten pores and retexturize skin, and it actually delivers. After one application, our pores looked smaller and our skin was softer.
The active ingredients are pro-xylane and hyaluronic acid (used by dermatologists for wrinkles). This product is to be used daily, underneath moisturizer. This formula absorbs in the skin very rapidly, and we found that we could not use it without moisturizer. It’s also very lightweight, so we didn’t feel like we had a lot of product on our skin.

Aveeno Positively Ageless Lifting & Firming Eye Cream
Saturday, October 17th, 2009
There’s no doubt that you have plenty to choose from when it comes to buying an eye cream. But many of them do not have every desired benefit at once. It is rare to find an effective product that works on wrinkles, dark circles, AND loss of firmness. However the Aveeno Positively Ageless Lifting & Firming Eye Cream does it all; and it really works! Within four weeks, our concealer was getting a lot less action. This eye cream contains wheat protein to firm skin, and shiitake mushrooms to slow down the aging process.
Aveeno has always been a favorite of dermatologists for its gentle ingredients. So as expected, the product didn’t have any unnecessary fragrance and it didn’t sting our eyes. Our favorite part about this product was that it didn’t affect our makeup at all. Since it’s a non-greasy, fast absorbing cream we didn’t get any creased eye shadow or traveling eyeliner.
