WetnWild Color Icon Eyeshadow Palette

Monday, July 26th, 2010

Want your eyeshadow to last all day long? Try using foundation or concealer as a base before putting on your eyeshadow. For a smoky eye on a budget, we really liked WetnWild’s Color Icon Eyeshadow Palette in Greed. It has 4 light shades, and a highly pigmented gray and black eyeshadow – perfect for blending!

WetnWild Intuitive Blend Shade Adjusting Foundation + Primer

Tuesday, May 25th, 2010

Lately we’ve noticed that WetnWild cosmetics has been churning out some really high quality products but at the same inexpensive prices. Our latest favorite is their Intuitive Blend Shade Adjusting Foundation + Primer. Priced at around $6, this is probably the most reasonably priced foundation you’ll ever buy! The foundation starts out white, then adjusts to match your skin color exactly. You don’t have to spend too much time in the store deciding what your color is – there are 4 color ranges to choose from (Fair, Light, Medium, and Tan). What we liked the most about this foundation is that it delivered a matte finish with natural looking coverage, which is a combination that is hard to find.

WetnWild Ultimate Brow Kit

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

eraseIf you like to keep your eyebrows perfect at all times, you’d really like WetnWild’s Ultimate Brow Kit. Its space saving package contains a mirror, a pair of tweezers, a hard angle brush, 2 brow shadows, and a wax for setting your brows. It’s very compact and won’t hog too much space in your makeup bag. For a natural look, we suggest using the darker shade to draw in fine hairs, and then the lighter shade to fill in sparse brows. We especially liked the wax for taming unruly brows.

Wetnwild MegaEyes Defining Marker

Friday, February 5th, 2010

eraseSome makeup artists say that the true purpose of eyeliner is to make your eyelashes look thicker – so the actual lines shouldn’t be visible. For those who subscribe to this belief and want a nice clean line on their lashes, the Wetnwild MegaEyes Defining Marker is an eye liner that easily makes neat, natural lines. The formula is a nice hybrid of a regular eyeliner and liquid. As a shortcut to a perfect look we liked applying this liner on first, and then putting on our shadow afterward.

Wetnwild Lash Intense Mascara

Thursday, February 4th, 2010

eraseIt just goes to show that you don’t have to spend a lot of money to get a great mascara. Our latest recessionista find is Wetnwild’s Lash Intense Mascara. The mascara brush is very unique; it’s made of rubber with tiny nubs. We were doubtful that we would get results from this strange looking brush, but we were quickly proven wrong. The formula gives excellent volume, and the brush highlighted smaller lashes that we didn’t even know were there.

WetnWild Natural Wear Pressed Powder

Saturday, January 23rd, 2010

eraseRadiant, healthy skin seems to always be ‘in’. But the dewy look went out of style in 2004. So those of us with oily skin must take extra steps so our makeup doesn’t dissolve mid-day into shiny patches. To set our foundation, we liked WetnWild Natural Wear Pressed Powder.  Our foundation looked wonderfully matte the whole day and it didn’t cake in certain areas like some powders tend to. And since it has vitamins and a multi-mineral complex, your skin is in better condition after wearing it. We found it was easier to apply using a big powder brush instead of the puff that’s provided. The bonus? It comes in eco-conscious paper packaging.
