Revlon Fantasy Lengths Maximum Wear Self-Adhesive Eyelashes

Monday, January 25th, 2010

eraseFake eyelashes are always easy to put on, until you try to make the second one look just like the first. Revlon Fantasy Lengths Maximum Wear Self-Adhesive Eyelashes requires no glue and almost no skill! There is a strong adhesive on the eyelashes; all you have to do is position the eyelash and press down. And because there is no glue routine, we were able to apply them in record time. The kit comes with extra self adhesive strips so you get a few wears out it. Now that we know we can put on eyelashes in just a couple of minutes, we won’t restrict wearing them to just special occasions.

Black Radiance Starry Eyes Shadow Stick

Sunday, January 24th, 2010

eraseSmoky eye makeup is a look that has never gone out of style. In the pages of fashion magazines it often looks easy, but then when you use your own eyeshadow it seems like more of a gray color than black. With most shades, you have to layer or dampen your applicator to get a true black. We have found the real deal when it comes to black eyeshadow. Black Radiance Starry Eyes Shadow Stick in Jet Black gives intense color with one swipe.

This eyeshadow stick goes on smoothly, and thankfully for those of us who are clumsy, blends well. We wore this eyeshadow all day without seeing any creases or signs of fading. Best of all, you don’t have to use the old trick of putting a tissue under the eye to catch stray eyeshadow when applying. The stick has no crumble factor.

To create a smoky eye, hold the stick as close to your upper lash line as possible and draw short strokes from the outer lashes inward, stopping just short of the inner corner. Line your bottom lashes and smudge. Take a lighter, less intense shade, and blend the black from your crease to your brow bone. Then add some high volume mascara. Voila!

WetnWild Natural Wear Pressed Powder

Saturday, January 23rd, 2010

eraseRadiant, healthy skin seems to always be ‘in’. But the dewy look went out of style in 2004. So those of us with oily skin must take extra steps so our makeup doesn’t dissolve mid-day into shiny patches. To set our foundation, we liked WetnWild Natural Wear Pressed Powder.  Our foundation looked wonderfully matte the whole day and it didn’t cake in certain areas like some powders tend to. And since it has vitamins and a multi-mineral complex, your skin is in better condition after wearing it. We found it was easier to apply using a big powder brush instead of the puff that’s provided. The bonus? It comes in eco-conscious paper packaging.

Iman Sheer Finish Bronzing Powder

Friday, January 22nd, 2010

eraseOn darker complexions, some blushes can look too pastel or ashy. Iman Sheer Finish Bronzing Powder in Afterglow has a high amount of pigment, perfect for women of color. The palette has 3 shades- brown, purple, and light pink hues. Combined they make a very pretty peach color. We liked to wear it by putting it on the apples of our cheeks and pairing it with similar shades on the eyes and lips.

L’Oreal Extra Volume Collagen Mascara

Thursday, January 7th, 2010

eraseEyeshadows may last forever, but it’s important to always have fresh mascara. We really liked L’Oreals new Extra Volume Collagen Mascara. Although it didn’t do much lengthening, we got a lot of volume. This mascara works by plumping the lashes from the inside out with hydra collagen. The brush is designed to get even your smallest lashes as well. What we liked best about this mascara is that we could keep layering without having to worry about clumping.
